Historically, the approach to addressing health issues was very holistic. Modern (Western) medicine deviated from this approach to provide people with fragmented services that did not take into consideration the person as a whole. Following decades under this model, many ways in which our society views and understands health and the human body has been deteriorated. Thankfully, medicine is returning to it’s roots, with an ever expanding availability of holistically-centred clinics. Thankfully, we can cultivate the mind, body, and spirit.

At Symmetry BodyMind Wellness, we envision a community that is fully supported along it’s healing path. It is our mission, then, to provide the highest quality of care to clients through a multi-practitioner approach of massage, osteopathy and acupuncture, by focusing on finding the root cause of dis-ease and ensuring a positive and balanced long term outcome.

Our wellness practice was founded in 2019 and has received five-star reviews by our clients! We think it has something to do with our skilled practitioners and our holistic approach to care.

The goal of treatment is to address the root cause of the symptoms which is unique to each client. We seek to bring health back to the system, by addressing the body as a whole, which includes the mind. Our focus is on the innate autoregulation systems which interconnect all of our tissues, fasciae, skeletal system, nervous system, craniosacral mechanism, and circulatory system.

Our clinic is a safe and inclusive space for all. We will meet you wherever you are on your health journey, and ensure you are seen, heard, and understood. We look forward to working with you!

Our Values

Empowerment

Empowerment is pure validation, a state of being in which we recognise and celebrate our own or someone else's potential. It means valuing abilities, goals and learning. It aids someone to feel appreciated, supported, and motivated. It gives someone the sense of control in their life and creates purpose.

Professionalism

When you embody the value of professionalism and actively demonstrate them regularly, you can enhance the experience that people have when they interact with you. This includes strong work ethic, responsibility, integrity, honesty, reliability, adaptability, accountability, self-motivation, confidence, loyalty, compassion, empathy, patience, positivity, and flexibility.

Collaboration

As a guiding principle, effective teamwork requires a collaborative mindset that recognizes the inherent value of the team model and a commitment to building effective relationships, and utilizing the strengths of each team member.

Inclusivity

Symmetry is a safe space for all. Inclusive care means that health services are equally accessible to all regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or the decisions you make for your health and body.

Kindness

Kindness is being friendly, generous, and considerate to others and yourself. Being kind often requires courage and strength, as it involves the willingness to celebrate and give attention to someone else. It is also about giving honest feedback when doing so is helpful to the other person. Moreover, kindness includes acting and speaking in a compassionate way to others and yourself.

Holism

Holism is rooted in the Traditional Chinese medicine understanding that all things in the universe are interdependent and mutually interactive; therefore, medical intervention should incorporate the whole being, while taking into consideration the environment in which they live.
